TWENTY-ONE!!

 

So a few weeks before I started this blog, on January 10th 2011, I turned 21! And today another friend of mine turned 21, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIELLA!. So even though my birthday already past I didnt have a blog back then and I was reminded of it today so today I am thankful for turning 21! :]

Now let me just clear things up real quick no I'm not thankful to be 21 because now I can drink and go to bars and do all "that stuff" legally...well it's not the only reason anyways haha. I guess what I'm really thankful for is just for the past 21 years of life that God has given me and blessed me with. You know birthdays I find are one of the things we tend to take for granted, I mean sure we celebrate and always want to make a big deal and feel special but we don't really think about the main idea of a birthday. See I don't think a birthday is "congratulations you made it one more year without dying!..Good Job!"..no.

See we aknowledge how old you are and we get the number candles more to keep track haha but a birthday is really about the day you were born. It's to celebrate the simple fact that you even exist. I know life is hectic and we all have our "wish I could dissappear" moments but at the end of the day life is amazing!!! You are the ONLY you in the world, you are living, you for whatever reason are in a certain place and in a certain family. You feel, you're not just another person, it's really hard to explain but it is amazing I think. Just try to think about it and I say try cause whenever I start to think about it, it's gets hard because its too beautiful to fully grasp and you really feel tiny in comparison with everything else in the world. But I am happy that God gave me life, and Im thankful that I get to experience the pain as well as the joy of life and you know just..thankful to be here one more year and who are we kidding...of course turning 21 makes it just THAT MUCH BETTER! hahaha  

CHALLENGE!: Today I challenge you to be thankful for you're life, to be thankful that you were born and that you get to go through this life no matter how hard it is at times the challenge is to see the beauty and the mystery and to be thankful! Dont think about today, dont think about something bad that you may have gone through just simply think about being alive at all and how it truly is a humbling thing to have this chance to live...I hope you all see how amazing it is to be alive...
